Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in an article in this regard: What Obama and Abe uttered after the two-hour talks is nothing but red herring to convince the public of "the validity" of the tightened U.S.-Japan alliance.

The alliance is a cancer-like entity as it neither gives any help to Asia-Pacific and the rest of the world nor meets the interests of the region and the world but obstructs prosperity and development and disturbs peace and security.

The recently revised "U.S.-Japan defense cooperation guidelines" proves once again the aggressive nature of the U.S.-Japan alliance.

In the guidelines the U.S. expanded the scope of activities by the Japan "Self-Defense Forces" worldwide, thus encouraging militarist Japan calling for revanchism to reinvade other countries. What the U.S. seeks is to use Japan as a shock brigade in any region of the world to encircle and contain its rivals by force of arms and realize its ambition for world hegemony.

Japan is also seeking its ulterior aim in talking about the "interests" of the U.S.-Japan alliance.

It is the avaricious calculation of the Japanese reactionaries that they should regard the U.S. as its "senior ally" and tighten the U.S.-Japan "security alliance" whether they like or not till they build military muscle strong enough to match the latter or overpower it.

The article accuses the U.S.-Japan alliance of bringing disaster only under the hypocritical pretext of "security".
