Elders of Pusan Civic and Public Organizations Demand Retraction of "U.S.-Japan Defense Cooperation Guidelines"

Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- Elders of civic and public organizations of Pusan, south Korea published a declaration on the situation in Pusan on May 13 demanding the immediate retraction of the "U.S.-Japan defense cooperation guidelines".

In the declaration they termed the "defense cooperation guidelines" which were revised last month the second "Katsura-Taft Treaty".

The revised guidelines helped conceal the past crimes of Japan and pave the way for its military hegemony, they charged.

They demanded an immediate cancellation of the "guidelines" which pose threat to Northeast Asia and discussion of the transfer of OPECON to south Korea from the U.S.
