Medicinal Effect of Wild Ginger
Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- Wild ginger draws attention of medical persons for its medicinal effect, said Sim Un Hui, a researcher of the Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University, when interviewed by KCNA.

She said:

From olden times, Koreans have used wild ginger for treating diseases.

In particular, its root is of high medicinal effect. Recently the anti-virus effect of wild ginger has been proved.

We developed the method of extracting essential oil from wild ginger and, on this basis, produced neuralgic injection which is especially efficacious for sciatica. The injection was also proved effective in treating trigeminal neuralgia, brachialgia, intercostal neuralgia, zona, etc.
