According to its Principal Ri Chan Bok, the school has won 92 gold medals and three trophies in weightlifting and football events at the National Games of Juvenile Sports Schools.

The school has produced 17 national athletes, including weightlifter Om Yun Chol, winner of Kim Jong Il Prize, the title of Labor Hero and the title of People's Athlete, he said, adding:

In the last 18 years, it has trained over 470 sportspersons who have been active in different sports teams. We are fully determined to produce more sports aces who will glorify the country as a sports power.
