Meanwhile, the special envoy of the U.S. Department of State for the six-way talks described its north Korea policy as a strategy of dialogue and pressure, blustering that denuclearization would help achieve "prosperity and stability" but when it is persistently disregarded, north Korea will come under heavier pressure.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in an article in this regard:

The U.S. and its followers are trying to create impression that they are concerned for the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula but it is nothing but a foolish trick to wrest a concession and compromise from the DPRK which is bolstering up its war deterrence.

The Korean people know well which is the way of achieving peace and prosperity of the Korean peninsula without an advice from the U.S.

The U.S. is foolishly seeking to denuclearize and stifle the DPRK. However, the U.S. would be well advised to clearly know that the DPRK is neither Iraq nor Libya.

The DPRK would like to declare once again that its nuclear force serves as the nation's treasure which can never be abandoned nor be bartered for anything as long as there are imperialists on the globe and nuclear threat to the DPRK persists.

Peace and prosperity depends on bolstering up the nuclear force. Neither pressure nor blackmail nor appeasement can ever stop the DPRK from dynamically advancing, pursuant to the line of simultaneously developing the two fronts.
