Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon; Pae Ik Ju, its vice-chairman; Pu Yong Uk, chairman of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon; and other officials of the Chongryon headquarters and branches, Korean youth league and women's league in Japan.

Pu Yong Uk bitterly denounced the Japanese police authorities for arresting three Chongryon officials and searching their houses at a time when festive mood is being revved up in the run-up to the diamond jubilee of Chongryon.

He called for holding the grand festival of Koreans in Osaka as one of single-minded unity with ardent patriotism and hostility toward the Japanese authorities' moves to stifle Chongryon.

Ho Jong Man said the diamond jubilee of Chongryon is an auspicious event in the glorious Kim Jong Un's era and it will provide a turning point in opening up a fresh heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan.
