The Korean folk song "Arirang", registered as a world intangible cultural heritage, is a typical folk song of the nation that has been sung by the Korean people in joy or in sorrow.

Grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang" was registered in the Guinness Book of World Records in August 2007.

"Arirang" helps the world come to know once again about the Korean nation as a homogeneous one with one and the same language and culture.

The Korean people are strong in national identity.
