On display at the venue of the press conference were photos showing horrible genocide committed by the Chun Doo Hwan military fascist junta under the strong backing of the U.S.

The organization made public a press release.

The press release said the U.S. was not a helper who connived at the Kwangju massacre but conspirator responsible for it, according to the analysis of U.S. secret documents declassified so far.

At the time of the Kwangju resistance the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. embassy in Seoul, the U.S. Department of Defense and CIA were so closely watching Kwangju that they were exchanging messages minute by minute, it said, adding:

This goes to prove that the U.S. was directly involved in the Kwangju massacre committed by the Chun Doo Hwan military force at that time.

The U.S. should open to public all secret documents related to the Kwangju massacre and make an apology to the bereaved families and other people for manipulating the mass killings.
