U.S. Accused of Paving Way for Japan's Reinvasion

Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea and dozens of other civic and social organizations in south Korea held a joint press conference in Seoul on May 18 to denounce the U.S. for paving the way for Japan's comeback to Korea.

They censured the U.S. for revising the "U.S.-Japan defense cooperation guidelines" to help Japan exercise the "right to collective self-defense" throughout Korea and thereby paving the way for its reinvasion of Korea.

They urged the authorities not to yield to the U.S. pressure.

On the same day members of the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification staged a demonstration in front of Chongwadae.
