The statement said:

The Japanese reactionaries have so far suppressed Koreans in Japan, victims of the colonial rule by Japan, far from making an apology and compensating for the crimes against humanity they committed against the Korean nation even though seven decades have passed since the defeat of Japan. This is an unprecedented human rights abuse, an act of national discrimination and an unpardonable provocation against the DPRK.

The General Association of Koreans in China and all Koreans in China bitterly denounce the brutal arrest of officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).

The Japanese reactionaries should properly understand the will of the whole Korean nation and behave themselves.

The Korean nation which still bear grudge against the Japanese imperialists, the sworn enemy, will certainly force them to pay for the blood shed by Koreans and for the crimes they are still committing.

The Japanese authorities should clearly see the daily mounting hostility of Koreans towards Japan and stop at once the reckless anti-DPRK and anti-Chongryon moves and release the arrested officials of Chongryon immediately.

They have to make an unconditional apology for the unprecedented violence against humanity.
