The six decade-long history of Chongryon is the one of shining victory of the idea of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu for the development of the Juche-oriented overseas compatriots' movement and their outstanding leadership over it, the editorial says, adding:

President Kim Il Sung was the founder and leader of Chongryon who set forth an original idea and theory on the overseas compatriots' movement and successfully steered the Juche-oriented overseas compatriots' movement.

As Chongryon was formed on May 25, Juche 44 (1955) under the leadership of the President, the Koreans in Japan could have a true organization representing their rights and interests and lead a worthwhile life on the patriotic road with honor and dignity as overseas citizens of the DPRK.

The guidance of leader Kim Jong Il provided a firm guarantee for steadily developing the patriotic cause of Chongryon along the road of Juche.

He clarified intense loyalty to the President as the main orientation of

work of Chongryon with his outstanding wisdom and foresight in the

1960s. He led Chongryon to develop into an overseas compatriots'

organization, boundlessly true to the idea and leadership of the President.

Marshal Kim Jong Un provided important guidelines for developing the movement of Koreans in Japan on a new high stage in the period of historic turn in carrying forward the revolutionary cause of Juche and is adding shine to the history of loving care of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.
