U.S. Moves to Deploy THAAD Denounced by S. Korean Organization

Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea held a peace meeting before the U.S. military base in Ryongsan on May 21, denouncing the U.S. for forcing the deployment of THAAD in south Korea.

The participants said that the U.S. is pressurizing the "government" to deploy THAAD in south Korea.

They went on:

High-ranking officials of the U.S., including the secretary of State, talk about the need of the deployment of THAAD, citing the north's "nuclear and missile threats".

But this is sheer sophism to conceal the fact that the deployment is part of the MD system in Northeast Asia.

The deployment of THAAD will cause contradiction among the neighboring countries, creating big difficulties in the way of settling the issue of peaceful reunification on the Korean peninsula.

The participants waged a demonstration, chanting the slogan "No THAAD".
