Hessou Kohovi, chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" who doubles as chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, made the following speech at the inaugural ceremony of a Beninese national preparatory committee for celebrating the 70th anniversaries of Korea's liberation and founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) held in Cotonou on May 20:

Kim Il Sung led the 20 year-old hard-fought anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to achieve the historic cause of Korea's liberation and founded the WPK that organizes and guides all victories of the Korean people.

Under the leadership of the WPK democratic reforms were successfully enforced in the DPRK in a short period after the liberation. Accordingly, a genuine people's government was established and workers became the masters of factories and farmers could have their own land.

The Korean people, being genuine masters of state and society, came to enjoy an independent and creative life.

The DPRK has turned into a socialist society which is like a harmonious whole.

Pascal Zouncheme, chief of the Benin Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and rector of Cotonou Institute of Journalism of Benin, said the revolutionary exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il have been successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Un.

He praised Kim Jong Un for working in an innovative and creative way to lead the building of a thriving socialist country.
