Polish Organization Accuses Japanese Authorities of Suppressing Chongryon

| Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) -- The Polish branch of the Korean Friendship Association made public a statement on May 24 in denunciation of the Japanese authorities' suppression of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). The statement said: The Japanese police authorities took an illegal action to search the houses of Chongryon officials and arrest them on May 12 on charges of violation of "law on foreign exchange". This fascist action was a product of the Japanese reactionaries' moves to stamp out the Koreans in Japan and their organization Chongryon. History and facts go to prove that the Japanese reactionaries have not given up their hostility towards Koreans and ambition for aggression since their defeat in the Second World War. We strongly demand the Japanese authorities discontinue their actions against the DPRK and Chongryon and make an apology and reparation to the Korean nation for their past crimes. |
