Delegation of Veteran Officials of Chongryon Visit Mangyongdae

| Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- A delegation of veteran officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) led by Pak Jong Sang, adviser to the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Korean Writers and Artists in Japan, visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. Being briefed on the old home in Mangyongdae, they looked round the historic relics preserved there. The head of the delegation said: The President saved Koreans in Japan from the fate of statelessness and put forward them as overseas citizens of an independent and sovereign state. I can never forget the loving care shown by the President for the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan no matter how much water may flow under the bridge. The great revolutionary life of the President and his immortal feats will be conveyed to posterity. We will hold President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in high esteem for all ages and devote ourselves to ushering in a new heyday of Chongryon, true to the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un. The delegation also visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, the Mirim Riding Club and other places. |
