Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers carried articles to mark the 51st anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

The Indian newspaper Awaking on May 26 carried an article titled "Noteworthy event in history of WPK".

Noting that Kim Jong Il performed undying exploits while leading the WPK for decades, the article went on:

From the beginning of his work at the WPK Central Committee he paid great attention to the unity of the whole party in thought and purpose and made sure that the whole party is thoroughly modeled on the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung, the Juche idea, and turned the WPK into an ideologically pure entity, an integral organization and the party which achieved the unity of actions.

Kim Jong Il's party-building exploits are part of the important legacies he left for the country and its people and the ever-lasting foundation guaranteeing the eternal prospect and victory of the WPK.
