Japan's Militarization Leads to Its Self-Destruction: Minju Joson
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- Former Japanese Prime Minister Murayama in his recent lecture expressed serious concern about the "positive pacifism" touted by the present chief executive, saying that the present government is going to reignite a war. Experts including Japanese military critic Maeta claim it is hypocrisy to assert that Japan will not be involved in a war and the tightening of the Japan-U.S. alliance would arouse the caution of the neighboring countries and thus give them a pretext for arms race and, furthermore, invite a preemptive strike at Japan,

Commenting on this, Minju Joson says: The present Japanese government is mulling passing the draft amendment to a law related with the national security under the pretext of the "positive pacifism" and, furthermore, revising the constitution. These moves are, in essence, aimed at legalizing the exercise of the "right to collective self-defense".

The commentary goes on:

The core element of Japan's exercise of the "right to collective self-defense" is the attack of the "Self-Defence Forces".

Needless to say, Japan's armed attack inevitably invites the rival side's military retaliation and this will spill over to a war.

The present Japanese government is taking much pain to calm down its people with a string of unreasonable remarks. This is designed to clear all the legal obstacles lying in the way of its militarization and launch of fresh overseas invasion with the U.S. backing come what may.

It should ponder over why its people strongly oppose a war and express concern about a possible preemptive strike at Japan.

If Japan having a history of aggression woven with all sorts of crimes reignites a reckless war of aggression with the U.S. backing, it will put its whole land at peril, warns the commentary.
