The south Korean Green Federation in a statement on May 28 said that the introduction of anthrax germs is a serious matter directly affecting the life and security of the south Korean people but nobody was aware its whole course.

The statement urged the south Korean and U.S. authorities to probe the truth behind the introduction of anthrax germs in detail, make an official apology for it and take a step to prevent the recurrence.

The Bar Association for Democratic Society issued a statement on May 28 in denunciation of the U.S. introduction of anthrax germs.

The statement accused the U.S. of failing to clarify when anthrax germs were introduced and their adverse impact on the south Korean people.

The Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society in a commentary on the same day urged the regime to clarify how materials for mass destruction including anthrax germs and weapons were introduced and if there were any quarantine and control in the course of their introduction.

The Bar Association for Democratic Society and civic and public organizations held a press conference outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul on May 29. They declared that people from all walks of life would stage mass actions outside the U.S. military bases in order to have the truth behind the introduction of anthrax germs thoroughly probed and those who are responsible for it punished and prevent the recurrence of the crime.
