Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary exploits and career of President Kim Il Sung and successes being made by the Korean people in their efforts for defending the sovereignty of the country and building a thriving nation under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un and hold political and cultural events including remembrance meeting and film show on the occasion of the 21st death anniversary of the President.
