The director of the Higher Education Department of the Regional Leadership of the Syria's Baath Arab Socialist Party was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to widely introduce the revolutionary feats of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and organize meeting, round-table talks and other political and cultural events on these significant anniversaries.
