The publication of the joint declaration is specially recorded in the history of the movement for Korea's reunification.

The keynote of the joint declaration which reflects the three charters for national reunification set forth by President Kim Il Sung is to reject interference by foreign forces and solve the reunification issue by the concerted efforts of the Korean nation.

The joint declaration is the most aboveboard and reasonable banner for Korea's reunification.

The U.S. imperialists and the pro-U.S. conservative forces of south Korea were not pleased with the June 15 era of reunification which was ushered in the Korean peninsula after the publication of the joint declaration.

The Lee Myung Bak group of south Korea totally negated the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration.

Park Geun Hye, chief executive of south Korea, is crying out for "unification under liberal democracy" by following in the footsteps of Lee Myung Bak.

Korea should be reunified under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration, the statement stressed.
