DPRK Beats Yemen in World Cup Qualifier

| Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- The second-round Asian qualifiers began for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The DPRK, belonging to group H with Bahrain, Uzbekistan, Yemen and Philippines, defeated Yemen 1:0 in the first match in Qatar on June 11. The chief coach of the DPRK team is Kim Chang Bok and its mainstay footballers include Ri Myong Guk, Pak Kwang Ryong and Ri Yong Jik, who were active in the 17th Asian Games. The DPRK will play the second match with Uzbekistan in Pyongyang on June 16. |
