Reflecting the indignation of all Koreans in Japan desirous of peace and reunification, the statement bitterly denounced the south Korean authorities for blocking the joint national event, pursuant to foreign forces' line and confrontation with fellow countrymen, and blatantly challenging their aspiration and desire to pave a wide avenue to the independent reunification this significant year.

The south Korean authorities craftily worked to abort the June 15 joint national event, thus fully revealing their despicable colors as hordes of traitors keen to deny and scrap the north-south joint declarations, programmes for reunification common to the nation, it noted.

The Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification will take the lead in the struggle to meet all challenges and pave a wide avenue to the independent reunification in solidarity and alliance with the compatriots in the north and the south and abroad under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration, it stressed.
