The work, published on August 4, Juche 86 (1997), deals with the immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung for the cause of national reunification.

The work formulates the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo as the three charters for national reunification and indicates the tasks for accomplishing the cause of national reunification and the ways to do so on the basis of them.
