Present there were members of the U.S. Regional Committee of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, representatives of the organization from New York and Chicago and other Koreans.

An opening address was made and the participants watched a video on the movement of the Korean nation for reunification for 15 years since the publication of the joint declaration.

The June 15 North-South Joint Declaration was read out. It was followed by congratulatory speeches from the North and South Committees for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration.

A lecture was given under the title "Today and tomorrow of reunification movement".

The lecturer referred to the five paragraphs of the June 15 joint declaration and said national reunification would be achieved when all Koreans advance hand in hand in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself.

Implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration is the wisest way for national reunification and prosperity, he added.
