The adherents of the Juche idea of the branches said that supreme leader Kim Jong Un set forth the slogan "Let the whole nation join efforts to open up a broad avenue to independent reunification in this year of the 70th anniversary of national liberation!" in his New Year Address.

Saying it is something lamentable that the Korean nation has suffered from the pain of division for the past 70 years, they noted the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government advanced the important proposals for the country's reunification and made sincere efforts for their implementation but failed to achieve success due to the moves of the forces against reunification at home and abroad.

They stressed that it is the firm will of Kim Jong Un to achieve the country's reunification, lifetime goal of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and ardent desire of the Korean nation, at any cost and build a dignified and prosperous reunified power.

They expressed belief and conviction that a turning point of Korea's reunification will be provided this year.
