Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The Network for Probing Truth behind the Forcible Drafting, a Japanese civic body investigating the damage done by the Japanese imperialist's forcible drafting during their occupation of Korea, made public a statement in denunciation of the shameless acts of the Japanese authorities to cover up forcible drafting by the Japanese imperialists in the past, according to the south Korean KBS on June 13. The statement said the Japanese government is busy with the frantic moves to register the facilities bearing witness to damage done by conscription by the Japanese imperialists as world cultural heritage despite strong opposition at home and abroad. A lot of Koreans lost their lives while doing forced labor at the Hashima Coal Mine which was proposed by Japan as world heritage, the statement ridiculed. In addition to this, the fact about the forcible drafting of Koreans is being disclosed among 23 old industrial facilities Japan proposed for the registration of the world cultural heritage, it added. |
