Displayed at the venue of the event were photos showing the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill.

Also on show were works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu, books dealing with their great personality and photos showing the development of the DPRK.

The participants placed a floral basket and bouquets before the portraits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il standing together atop Mt. Paektu and paid tribute to them.

At the lecture the speakers said that Kim Jong Il provided the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, adding this exploit would always be remembered by the Koreans.

They vowed to take the lead in the action for the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea as clarified in the June 15 joint declaration.

At the end of the lecture the participants watched Korean film "My Country Emerges Victorious by Dint of Single-Minded Unity".

Then they went round a photo and book exhibition hall.
