The bulletin carried articles illustrated with a portrait of smiling leader Kim Jong Il.

The bulletin noted that his start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on June 19, 1964 marked a historic event of great significance in the history of the Juche-oriented party building and the WPK.

It noted that under his leadership the Korean revolution pioneered on Mt. Paektu could emerge victorious and the WPK demonstrate its dignity as the party of President Kim Il Sung, founder of the party, and a guide leading socialist Korea to victory and prosperity.

It carried the main contents of his work "Giving Priority to Ideological Work Is Essential for Accomplishing Socialism" and said that the work is precious guidelines giving perfect answers to important problems arising in socialist construction and a book the adherents of the Juche idea and the world revolutionaries must read.

It also said that the publication of the north-south joint declaration was an epochal event in the Korean people's movement for the reunification of the divided country.
