Madav Kumar Nepal, former prime minister of Nepal, and Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, chairperson of the Founding Committee of the Soekarno Foundation for Education of Indonesia, were elected honorary chairpersons of the preparatory committee and Peter Woods, co-chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea, Fumihiro Himori, chairman of the Japan Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, Amar Jit Malhotra, former senator of Pakistan, and Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, were elected co-chairpersons of the committee.

Personages of various circles from India, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Mongolia and other countries are among members of the committee.
