Pak Kyong Ho, chairman of the confederation, said that the publication of the June 15 joint declaration was a historic event that opened up a new era of national reconciliation, unity, reunification, peace and prosperity.

The past days go to clearly prove that the wide road of peace, reunification and national prosperity will be opened in the inter-Korean relations only when the June 15 joint declaration agreed by the north and the south is carried out, but distrust, confrontation and war will be brought if the joint declaration is denied, he noted, adding:

Implementing the north-south joint declarations guarantees a bright future of the nation and it is the only way of tiding over difficulties.

He called for making positive contribution to the patriotic work for the country's reunification and prosperity under the uplifted banner of By Our Nation Itself, the basic idea of the June 15 joint declaration.
