Laid before his portrait were wreaths sent by the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, the International Affairs Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of External Economic Relations, the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, the DPRK-Cambodia Friendship Association and the General Bureau for Affairs with Diplomatic Corps.

Present there were An Tong Chun, vice-chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly, Pak Kun Gwang, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK, Ri Kil Song, vice foreign minister, Ri Myong San, vice-minister of External Economic Relations, So Ho Won, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as vice-chairman of the DPRK-Cambodia Friendship Association, Mun Jae Chol, vice-director of the General Bureau for Affairs with Diplomatic Corps, and other officials concerned.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the deceased and made entries in a condolence book.
