Chairpersons of Chongryon Headquarters Support Statement of DPRK Government

Tokyo, June 21 (KNS-KCNA) -- Chairpersons of the headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) made public statements on June 20 in support of the statement issued by the DPRK government on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration. Pu Yong Uk, chairman of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, warmly welcomed the statement of the DPRK government on behalf of all officials and compatriots of the headquarters. Kim Chun Gwon, chairman of the Hyogo Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, said that the statement of the DPRK government represented its firm stand and determination to open up a broad avenue to independent reunification. Kim Hak Bok, chairperson of the Kyoto Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, expressed determination to make every possible effort to create a climate favorable for mending the inter-Korean relations and implement the north-south joint declarations in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself as clarified in the statement of the DPRK government. Pak Sun Ho, chairperson of the Ehime Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, fully supported the stand clarified in the statement of the DPRK government, vowing to actively contribute to opening a broad avenue to independent reunification by arousing all Koreans under the headquarters to the drive for implementing it. Ri Thae Hyong, chairman of the Hiroshima Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, noted that a broad avenue would be opened to independent reunification as desired by the Korean nation when the south Korean authorities sincerely accept the principled stand clarified in the statement of the DPRK government and honestly respond to it. Ri Ju Hak, chairman of the Fukuoka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, said all Chongryon officials and other compatriots under the headquarters will devote all their efforts and wisdom to the drive for opening up a broad avenue to independent reunification this year. |
