The paper said:

It is nearly seven decades since the Korean nation was divided by foreign forces but it is still undergoing sufferings resulting from the division and this makes the world progressives painful.

The tragedy of the Korean people should neither be tolerated nor allowed to go on.

Last year the DPRK set forth crucial proposals for improving the inter-Korean relations and achieving national reunification and made every sincere effort to realize them.

But these proposals have not yielded desired results due to the obstructions of the anti-reunification forces at home and abroad and the inter-Korean relations got worse.

Though the situation is complex and obstacles and difficulties lie in the way of reunification, Kim Jong Un remains steadfast in his faith and will to achieve the national reunification, the lifetime wishes of the preceding leaders and the supreme desire of the nation.

All Koreans are firmly convinced that a new era of independent reunification would be surely ushered in under his wise leadership.
