Among them is a new type of feed-processing line manufactured by the Sariwon Chicken Farm. It has proved very effective as all the processes from grinding and mixing to granulating are automatically controlled.

The Sinuiju Chicken Farm increases egg production seven times as much as that several years ago, while reducing the consumption of grain fodder 15 percent and addictives 60 percent by introducing different microbial ferments and rare-earth elements in feed production. And the farm put its hatching process on a more scientific basis.

The same is true of the Tudan and Kwangpho duck farms, which raised the proportion of substitute materials in feed production.
