Kuwait Times said in an article the publication of the joint declaration was ascribable to noble patriotism and energetic guidance of leader Kim Jong Il.

The Senegalese paper Le Populaire said in an article that thanks to his ardent patriotism a north-south summit took place in Pyongyang in June 2000 for the first time in the history of Korea's partition and the June 15 joint declaration was adopted.

The declaration serves as a great programme for reunification common to the Korean nation, the article noted.

Introducing the contents of the declaration, the Guinean Domestic Broadcasting Service said:

The June 15 joint declaration is a declaration on national independence, reunification and cooperation between compatriots as it calls for settling the issue of national reunification by the concerted efforts of the Koreans.

The Korean nation is waging a dynamic struggle to preserve the June 15 joint declaration and reunify the country.

International and seven national languages broadcasting services of Guinea aired the similar program.
