Present at the talks from the WPK side were members of the WPK delegation headed by Kang Sok Ju, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the WPK Central Committee, on a visit to Cuba, and Pak Chang Yul, DPRK ambassador to Cuba, and from the CPC side members of the CPC delegation headed by Jose Ramon Balaguer, international secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

At the talks both sides informed each other of their party activities and exchanged views on the issue of boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and countries and issues of mutual concern.

The WPK delegation was invited to a reception given by the CPC Central Committee on the same day.
