Important Day of DPRK Observed by Foreign Papers

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Cuban and Uruguayan newspapers carried special write-ups on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration. The Cuban newspaper Granma in an article on June 18 said that June 15 this year marks the 15th anniversary of the adoption of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration by Kim Jong Il, leader of the DPRK. Korea has been divided into the north and the south by foreign forces after World War II, the article said, and went on: The 1950-1953 Korean war has not yet ended. President Kim Il Sung set forth the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo in 1980. The DPRK is making positive efforts to reunify Korea according to the federal formula. Leader Kim Jong Un devoted his all to national reunification true to the intentions of the preceding leaders. The Uruguayan newspaper La Juventud on June 13 carried an article titled "By Our Nation Itself" illustrated with a photo of the Monument to the Three Charters for National Reunification. |
