Speakers said that the "Security Law" is an evil law which labels the north as "an anti-state organization" and tramples down the freedom of thinking, conscience, assembly, association, academic pursuit and expression.

They called upon civic and public organizations to have solidarity in order to judge the present regime and foil the repressive campaign.

They also called for thoroughly implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and driving the U.S. forces, the root cause of misfortune and pain, out of south Korea in order to achieve the country's reunification.
