Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- The State Stamp Bureau of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea brought out a sheetlet showing slogan-bearing trees in the revolutionary battle site in Mt. Madu. Seen in the upper part of the sheetlet are letters reading "Slogan-bearing trees in the revolutionary battle site in Mt. Madu" against the background of the site. The stamps contained in the sheetlet show trees bearing such slogans as "Don't abandon revolutionary faith though one may die" and "Let's achieve the national liberation under the leadership of General Kim Il Sung", which reflected the indomitable spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners. The revolutionary battle site in Mt. Madu was a secret base built in the area of Anju under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese armed struggle. It served as a stronghold for regional leadership and military operations in the western part of Korea. |
