The paper said Kim Il Sung established a people's revolutionary government on the guerilla base where the right and freedom of the people were ensured during the anti-Japanese armed struggle. Based on this historical experience he put forward a state-building line suiting the specific situation of the country after its liberation and enforced democratic reforms to consolidate the social and economic foundation of new Korea, it noted, adding:

Under the grave situation due to the U.S. imperialists' occupation of south Korea after the liberation he directed great efforts to rallying the patriotic forces in the north and the south around the banner of national independence and held all-Korea general elections to found the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the first people's democratic state in the Orient.

He honorably protected the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK and wisely led socialist construction.
