We send full support to the righteous struggle of the Korean people for reunifying the country on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle, the statement said, and went on:

The U.S., which suffered a bitter defeat in the Korean war, has staged ceaseless war exercises on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity with huge troops for aggression and war hardware deployed in south Korea, escalating the tension to an extreme pitch.

The south Korean authorities following the U.S. are making desperate efforts to achieve "unification through absorption," pursuant to the U.S. line.

The U.S. should roll back its hostile policy toward the DPRK and stop at once joint war exercises for aggression with the south Korean authorities.

We strongly demand the south Korean authorities give up the foolish ambition for "unification through absorption" and opt for implementing the north-south joint declarations which the north and the south of Korea agreed upon and the world recognized.
