Paduk Encouraged in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang City Paduk (go) Center was opened recently. The center has competent teachers, who proved successful at domestic and international paduk games in the past.

Paduk games will be also held at the two-storied center.

Kim Il Gwang, secretary of the Korean Paduk Association, told KCNA:

Paduk centers have been or will be built in every province and municipality of the country. Such centers already took their shapes in Pyongyang City, South Hamgyong, North and South Hwanghae and Jagang provinces.

The centers will be conducive to further developing paduk, one of national sports.
