Rodong Sinmun Accuses S. Korean Regime of Abusing Sports for Sinister Politically-motivated Purpose
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, Choe Yun Hui, chairman of the south Korean puppet Joint Chiefs of Staff, appeared in Kwangju set to host international sports games to talk rubbish that "the north is likely to commit not only terrorism but provocations" for the purpose of "disturbing the games" and cry out for "strengthening the posture to cope with them."

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a commentary in this regard:

What he uttered is nothing but a ridiculous behavior of a persecution maniac and psychopath keen on hurting the fellow countrymen in the north.

It is worth recalling that whenever international games took place in south Korea, the DPRK rendered strong support to their successful opening through peculiar cheering and diverse activities, the commentary says, and goes on:

What matters is why the south Korean authorities are intensifying politico-military provocations against the DPRK together with outsiders in the run-up to the international sports games, rendering the situation on the Korean peninsula extremely tense.

Sports games can never go with confrontation racket.

No one can deny the fact that the puppet forces' anti-DPRK confrontation racket aimed to hurt the fellow countrymen and launch a war against the DPRK diametrically runs counter to the international sports games whose main idea is peace and friendship and it is no more than reckless act of seriously chilling their atmosphere.

Nevertheless, Choe vociferated about "terrorism" and "provocations" of someone. This clearly indicates the puppet regime is abusing inviolable sports games for the sinister politically-motivated purpose.

His outbursts would only escalate distrust and confrontation between the north and the south.
