S. Korean Authorities' Fascist Suppression Slammed
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the Solidarity for Progress and other civic and public organizations in south Korea held a press conference outside the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office on July 1.

The organizations in a press release condemned the present regime for throwing into prison Pak Chang Suk, a member of a civic organization who had conducted activities to reunify the country in a peaceful way by the concerted efforts of the nation, by invoking the "Security Law".

This is part of the suppression by the regime under the pretext of security to tide over the ruling crisis caused by the Intelligence Service's and the Cyber Command's interference in election rigging, ferry Sewol disaster, MERS case, Song Wan Jong case and other heinous cases, the organizations charged.

Pak Chang Suk's assertion that the country should be reunified in a peaceful way through dialogue and concord, away from confrontation and hostility, can never be incriminated, they said.

It is a foolish dream to tide over the ruling crisis through fascist rule, they said, adding the present regime's intensified fascist suppression will increase the people's resistance.
