Taking part in it were more than 35 000 workers in the fields of manufacturing and public work and finance under the organizations.

At least 20 000 workers under the headquarters of joint struggle in the manufacturing field held a rally at Seoul Railway Station plaza and declared a joint general strike.

They demanded the "government" accept demands of workers such as work hour reduction and wage hike and totally retract the stand to retrogressively revise labor market structure.

They declared they would stage a general strike on July 22 and hold rallies simultaneously at branches across south Korea.

At the end of the rally the participants staged a demonstration.

Meanwhile, more than 15 000 workers under the headquarters of joint struggle in the public work and financial industrial field also held a rally in University Street to hold in check the puppet government's retrogressive revision of labor market structure and de-nationalization of public sectors.
