Atanas Ivanov, honorary chairman of the Bulgarian Communists Union, said this in a statement on July 2 on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

He went on:

The great victory and successes the Korean people achieved in the anti-Japanese revolution, the Fatherland Liberation War and the Juche-oriented building of socialist state would have been unthinkable without the august name of the President.

The President founded the Juche idea, the guiding idea of the era of independence through his outstanding ideological and theoretical activities and worked hard to accomplish the popular masses' cause of independence and socialism.

The President regarded the country's reunification as the greatest patriotic cause of the nation and laid down the three principles of national reunification, the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and made all efforts to realize them.

The Korean people hold him in high esteem as the eternal President of the DPRK in praise of his immortal revolutionary feats.
