Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Solidarity meetings, lectures and film shows took place in Bulgaria, Guinea and Angola on June 25 and 30 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle. Atanas Ivanov, honorary chairman of the Bulgarian Communists Union, said that the army and people of the DPRK defeated the U.S.-led imperialist aggressor forces and firmly defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung in the Fatherland Liberation War. He went on: More than six decades have passed since the Korean Armistice Agreement was concluded, but the U.S. policy to stifle socialist Korea remains unchanged. That is why the progressives and the anti-imperialist peace-loving forces in the world set the period from June 25 to July 27 every year as a month of anti-U.S. joint struggle and have conducted widespread solidarity activities denouncing the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and supporting the just cause of the Korean people. Films shown included Korean films "Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum" and "Provocateur of Korean War". Meanwhile, the France-DPRK Friendship Association held a consultative meeting to strengthen the solidarity with the Korean people on June 29. |
