Korean Media Man in U.S. Denounces S. Korean Authorities for Blocking Movement for Reunification

Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- Son Se Yong, a member of the editorial board of the internet paper of Koreans in the U.S. Minjok Thongsin, released a commentary on July 4, 43rd anniversary of the July 4 joint statement, lashing out at the south Korean authorities for reneging on the north-south agreements and blocking the national reunification movement.

The north-south relations have hit rock-bottom though 43 years have passed since the three principles of national reunification laid down in the July 4 joint statement were declared all over the world, the commentary said, and went on:

Needless to say, this is attributable to the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK and the south Korean traitorous regime's policy of toeing the U.S. line.

Great irony is that the south Korean regime is getting more desperate in confrontation with the DPRK than outside forces, keeping mum about the U.S. imperialist forces' moves for colonial domination.

The south Korean ruling quarters are branded as betrayers of the July 4 joint statement and sycophants and traitors denying the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

The earlier resignation of the south Korean regime would offer an opportunity for democratizing south Korea and improving the north-south relations.
