S. Korean Bodies Protest against U.S. Forces' Preparations for Germ Warfare

Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Progress and other civic and social organizations of south Korea on July 7 held a press conference outside the Osan U.S. Air Force base in protest against the U.S. preparations for germ warfare, according to the south Korean internet paper Voice of People.

Speakers deplored that the quarantine sovereignty which is directly related to the life of the south Korean people was violated due to the introduction and experiment of anthrax germs by the U.S. forces.

The U.S. forces do not allow south Korea to investigate the case of introduction of anthrax germs while letting loose poor excuses, they said.

They demanded the U.S. side make public the truth behind the introduction of anthrax germs, punish those responsible for it and immediately disband the unit for germ warfare.

At the end of the press conference the organizations staged a sit-in strike before the gate of the base to convey the letter of protest containing their demands to the commander of the U.S. 7th Air Force.

They carried on their action despite fascist police's creation of terror-ridden atmosphere around the venue of their strike.
